| Season’s Greetings RISD Alumni!
2020 will be a year that all of us remember in our own way. We were presented with what seemed like an endless stream of challenges and opportunities, unfolding in ways we never could have imagined a year ago. We have never used the word “unprecedented” so many times, or about so many different things.
And yet here we are, and here is RISD—intact, resilient and going about its business of educating the brightest artists and designers in the world. I am grateful the college has given us all something to rely on amid so much change.
Like you, I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Roger Mandle, the 15th president of RISD. He was a true champion for RISD and its alumni. He will be sorely missed.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and creative 2021, the Year of the Ox.
