Announcing RISD/Limited Editions

We are excited to announce the launch of RISD/Limited Editions, an alumni print sale benefitting RISD students. Opening on October 8, the inaugural sale features exclusive signed and numbered limited edition prints from RISD Trustee Shepard Fairey 92 IL and Cindy Ji Hye Kim 13 IL, with each artist contributing 300 prints to the sale.

The overwhelmingly positive response from alumni artists taking part in this sale supporting the Student Opportunity Fund is inspiring. This fund provides needed financial assistance for educational expenses not funded through traditional financial aid—helping to make the full RISD experience accessible and equitable to students from all income levels.

Following the October 8, 2021 sale, future RISD/Limited Editions sales will take place in March 2022 and October 2022. Future sales will include RISD Trustee Shahzia Sikander MFA 95 PT/PR, Huma Bhabha 85 PR and Jordan Seaberry 14 PT.

This sale is open to the public through eBay for Charity, and we encourage everyone in the RISD community to participate. We expect these limited edition prints to sell out fast!

RISD has appointed five new members to the Board of Trustees. They include alumni Ashleigh Axios 08 GD, David Lee 00 GD and former Alumni Association President Donald W. H. Choi BArch 82.

The 2021 Alumni Award recipients have been announced! Winners will be honored at a reception during Commencement + Reunion Weekend in June 2022.

Cluster Hire: Race in Art + Design

Thanks to generous donors, RISD has hired its first cluster of outstanding faculty to increase diversity of scholarship, teaching and practice.
