Dear RISD Alumni,
I know we all remember fall in Providence—hurrying to our studios as the leaves begin to change on Benefit Street and the air grows crisp and cool. As I think back to those times, I am so happy that our community was able to see the return of some of our beloved RISD Weekend campus activities on October 9. Although the schedule of in-person events was smaller than in years past, many in our RISD community were able to enjoy campus tours, figure drawing on Nickerson Green and affinity group meetups throughout the day. Our virtual events throughout the month featured great alumni highlights as well, including a Future Food panel and an overview of RISD Museum’s most recent exhibition, Any distance between us.
It was also wonderful to see so many come out to support our alumni and student makers at RISD Craft. I want to extend a special congratulations to this year’s RISD Craft Emerging Artist Award winner, jeweler Marge Hinge 11 JM, Hinge Designs and our People’s Choice Award winner, Dwo Wen Chen MAE 89, Three Wheel Studio.
I hope that you will take a few minutes to share your opinions on this year’s RISD Weekend events through a brief survey. Your feedback helps ensure that the Office of Alumni + Family Relations is able to continue offering relevant and timely opportunities for you to connect with us and each other
Sincerely,

Rex Wong BArch 03 President RISD Alumni Association
