Through the Alumni Association, there are many ways to stay connected to the RISD community—from regional and global events offered by our Alumni Club and Affinity Groups to networking and professional development in the RISD Network and so much more!

RISD alumni are a global community dedicated to continually innovating and pushing the boundaries of art and design. Later this summer, RISD will be inviting you to participate in the 2022 Alumni Survey, and we hope you will take the time to share your thoughts on where we are today and where we hope to be in the future.

Providence-based dance company Haus of Glitter recently spoke at RISD about using an activist dance opera to transform a racist national historic site. RISD’s Center for Social Equity and Inclusion and the Department of Theory and History of Art and Design recently co-hosted the event emceed by Assistant Professor of Industrial Design Jess Brown MID 09.

A cornerstone of RISD’s graduate programs, the RISD Grad Show made a triumphant return to the Rhode Island Convention Center, showcasing the thesis work of the Graduate Class of 2022.

Overcoming inequity takes action. You can help ensure that every student receives the full potential of an exceptional RISD experience. Thanks to a generous group of 1877 Society members, your gift will be doubled up to $250,000—but only until June 30.

RISD students, including several members of the Class of 2022, brought RISD’s critical making approach to this year’s exhibition at WantedDesign Manhattan and International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC. Alumni including Winston Cuevas 15 ID, Ayumi Kodama MFA 20 FD, Xuelun Li MFA 19 FD, Kainan Liu MFA 20 FD and Eduardo Terranova MArch 06 also shared some of their latest collections.
